A company sells radiation measurement equipment to insure medical X-ray QA, X-ray test and X-ray machines are in compliance with the law. These are highly technical measuring machines that require technical bulletins to fully understand. Also new technical bulletins are issued periodically and need to be distributed to their customers.
This company did not want to post technical documents (regarding their equipment) directly to the Web for anyone to download. They also didn't want every technical document available to every customer. What they wanted was a system of individual areas, one area for each major customer, where they could put that customer's relevant documents. Each area had to be secure with a unique username and password. They wanted the ability to upload that customers technical documents into their specific area.
Document Queue solved all their needs perfectly. Using their company Intranet they set up folders inside Document Queue; one folder for each of their customers. Then within Document Queue they gave each customer a unique username and password.
We placed a Customer Log-In panel on the main page of their site. Now each customer logs in with their username and password and they go to their secure area. When the company uploads a document into Document Queue, it goes into that customer's folder, showing up in their secure area for download. Document Queue they supported all their technical document requirements. Customers can get specific information regarding their equipment immediately. When customers call they refer them to the site. All technical document issues are solved.
